A commendable homage to the crew of the lost ARA San Juan. The deserved tribute comes amid new revelations that shows the submarine and its crew may have been doomed from the moment of their departure.

According to confidential documents published by Infobae, a major revision that must be conducted every 18 months had not been conducted. For that reason, submersion had been limited to 100 m. as waterproofing could not be ensured beyond that depth.

According to classified documents, the sub was losing 50 litres of oil for every day of navigation, which had lowered the hydraulic system's reservoirs.

Infobae anticipated it will deliver more information coming from classified documents.
