United States president Donald Trump has sparked a backlash from UK politicians by attacking the National Health Service. In a tweet criticising US Democrats pushing for a universal health system, he said “thousands of people are marching” in the UK because the NHS is “going broke and not working”. This was believed to be a reference to a Save the NHS march on Downing Street on Saturday, demanding more funding. Read full article

    Geeeeeeeeeeee.....

    The Anglos have chosen that Trump Turnip to be in control of the little nuclear red button...

    Time for the rest of us to choose to take away the control from the Anglos..., methinks...

    At least this caused the BBC to actually cover the march.

    @Think
    'The Anglos' have done no such thing. I had no more of a vote than you did.

    But who would you give control to? Russia, where the opposition gets jailed or murdered? Or China, where no one has a vote at all?

    UK public largely doesn't care what Mr Trump says anymore. He has lost credibility.

    You use the expression “Anglo” rather freely. do you consider yourself as an Anglo being of N.European stock. Are the Germans “Anglos” ? Are the Hispanic/Latinos in the USA Anglos ?

    Heh, Think's not an Angle, he's a Jute. And Trump got more support from Latino voters than Romney did.

    But I feel sorry for Americans whose fellow citizens are so brainwashed they'd rather pay higher taxes for healthcare than we do and still end up broke or dead when they get ill.

    You are the one who thinks the UK has a president ? You use the word limey which went out of parlance about 60 years ago...in the USA ? You must try harder...your trailer trash education is showing.

    Good for the Brits to take exception to yet another one of Trump's ill-informed statements.
    The US' persistent refusal to implement a decent health care system speaks lots to that society's disfonctionality.

    Trump, the great uniter. ;)

    As for that git Farage, how dare he slag off Britain to the gullible Fox News viewers? If he thinks the US is so great he should move there permanently and we can all be rid of him and his lies about the NHS.
