More Argentine naval presence in South Atlantic
Argentina is planning to significantly increase its naval presence in the South Atlantic to consolidate open spaces and protect fisheries thus preparing for problems in the future, said Argentine Defence Minister José Pampuro.

Consumer prices in Argentina during April increased 0,9%, the highest since March 2003, accumulating 2% in the first four months of 2004, according to the Statistics and Census Institute.
Uruguay consumer prices climb 1,23% in April
Consumer prices in Uruguay during April advanced 1,23% reaching 4,09% in the first four months of 2004. The Uruguayan Statistics Institute indicated that the increase was mainly because of vegetable and fruit prices influenced by a strong summer drought and the incoming winter fashion in Clothing.
