Uruguay meat exports increased 21.46% in 2005 over 2004 according to the latest release from the Uruguayan Meat Board.

Chilean candidates prepare for crucial debate
Chilean ruling coalition presidential candidate Michelle Bachelet and opposition Conservative businessman Sebastian Piñera are scheduled to debate Wednesday evening on national television, the only time they will do so before the run off next January 15.

Argentina recalls Malvinas/Falklands 1833 events
Argentine Foreign Affairs minister Jorge Taiana reaffirmed Monday in an official release, Argentina's “imprescriptible sovereignty rights over the Malvinas islands” and condemned the ”illegitimate (British) occupation” of the South Atlantic islands.
