Falkland Islands oil and gas exploration company, Rockhopper Exploration confirmed Monday that its finance director, Peter Dixon-Clarke, plans to step down from his position in early 2014.

“The Company can confirm that Peter Dixon-Clarke has the intention of stepping down as the Company's Finance Director in early 2014 and that the Company is well advanced in making an appointment of a successor.

A further announcement will be made once the details of Mr. Dixon-Clarke's departure have been formally agreed however it is anticipated that Mr Dixon-Clarke will remain on as consultant to the Company for an interim period to support the Company whilst his replacement is appointed”.

Furthermore, the company said that in addition to the recent appointment of Keith Lough as a non-executive director and impending chair of the audit committee, the company also anticipates making an additional non-executive appointment shortly that would serve to further strengthen the board.

    Interesting investor comment:

“This is looking a bit ”Rumsfeld” . It could be nothing but three(directors) in one yr with no real explanation is starting to look like a pattern. You might think that picking up £250k basic a yr for a 50yr old in what in reality is almost a part time job given the way PMO now calls the shots would be attractive. The fact that he is not working his notice but switching from director to being a consultant is hopefully no more than a unfortunate coincidence in the light of civil/criminal threats from Argentina”

Hi Marcos. I see you are still trawling the Interactive Investor website desperate to find anything that might cheer you up versus your countries death spiral (and complete impotence versus the Falkland Island oil industry). Keep up the good work, its all you have.
