Don't forget Sierra Leone where the Nigerian UN peacekeepers acted like gangsters and committed horrendous crimes against the people they were supposed to protect.

It took the intervention of the British military to sort out that country, and the UK told the UN to pull its peacekeepers out who were worse than the rebels.

UN peacekeepers? Anyone noticed that these “forces” are the “regular” forces of, mostly, sovereign states with different berets/helmets? Where's the thanks to the states that sent their troops?

I remember watching Bosnia on the news, women and children being murdered by snipers and mortared in the markets. I was spitting blood, what kind of a soldier stands by and does FA about it?

A UN Trooper, that's who, because he is ordered to do so by namby pamby arsehole politicians, eating their free lunches and drinking their free wine in their crystal palace in New York.

Then as if it was not bad enough, we had Srebrenica, the so called safe haven. All they did was round up those poor trusting Muslim Bosnians, so the fucking Serbs could slaughter them more easily.

Thank god for NATO. Professional warriors to a man and the saviour of millions!

Do not even start me on Rwanda.

I hate the fucking UN with a passion.

Some of you should imagine the world WITHOUT the UN.

It is easy to criticise until you realise that the UN is nothing more than a manifestation of the failings of the sovereign states that make up its membership.

Imagine the world without the UN?

It could hardly be a worse place than it is already.

The UN is a reactive organisation, it reacts to world crises and it is pretty bloody poor at doing that.
