    European Central Bank President Mario Draghi has fought back against critics, insisting the bank's policies will help to raise inflation. Eurozone inflation is currently 0.2%, way below the ECB's target of near 2%. But Mr Draghi insisted that the central bank would meet its obligations.

    Antarctic Logistics & Expeditions, ALE, reports with great sadness the death of polar expeditioner Henry Worsley at a hospital in Punta Arenas, Chile, after complications caused by bacterial peritonitis. Henry returned from Antarctica on January 23 after nearly completing his Shackleton Solo Expedition.

    Four dead sperm whales wash on to the beaches of eastern England

    They are thought to be from the same pod as a dead whale on Hunstanton beach, 25 kilometres across The Wash bay, which stranded and died on Friday.

    Four dead sperm whales have washed up on beaches in eastern England, coastguard authorities said Sunday, a week after similar deaths across the North Sea in Germany and the Netherlands. Two whales washed up near the resort of Skegness on the English east coast on Saturday, said the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). They laid side by side on the beach. A third dead whale appeared on Sunday.

    Tourists' arrivals grew 4.4% last year and forecasted to increase 4% this year

    International tourist arrivals grew by 4.4% in 2015 to reach a total of 1,184 million in 2015, according to the latest UNWTO World Tourism Barometer. Some 50 million more tourists (overnight visitors) travelled to international destinations around the world last year as compared to 2014. 2015 marks the 6th consecutive year of above-average growth, with international arrivals increasing by 4% or more every year since the post-crisis year of 2010.

    Storm Jonas heading for UK across the Atlantic, with forecasts of torrential rain

    The UK Met Office has issued a severe weather warning covering most of Wales, north-west England and west Scotland.

    The storm that battered America is on its way to Britain, forecasters have warned. But instead of dumping loads of snow, it’s going to bring severe rainfall across large parts of the country. It is expected that the ‘remnants’ of Storm Jonas will hit the UK on Tuesday, with torrential rain and heavy winds on their way.

    Ms Castro said that Mr Corbyn “shares our concerns”, adding: “In short, he is one of ”ours“.”  She described the Labor leader as “humorous” and “a good listener”.

    United Kingdom's leader of the opposition Jeremy Corbyn is in favor of making a power-sharing deal with Argentina over the Falkland Islands, according to an Argentine diplomat. Outgoing Argentine ambassador Alicia Castro says that the Labour leader is “one of ours” and that he told her he supports a British-Argentine power-sharing deal in the vein of Northern Ireland.
