    First Chinese-built airliner enters aviation market

    The COMAC C-919, China's first passenger aircraft, Sunday completed its first commercial flight marking its official entry into the civil aviation market, it was reported in Beijing, where authorities are confident it can compete with the Boeing 737 MAX and Airbus A320. China Eastern Airlines flight MU9191 landed “smoothly” at Beijing International Airport Shanghai's Hongqiao Airport with 130 passengers at 12:30 local time, after which firefighters performed the traditional water arch.

    Record trade of Latin America with India, but mainly commodities for industrial goods

    Car exports to Latin America were US$ 2,225bn (up from US$ 1,793bn in 2021-22). This was one-third of India’s global car exports of US$ 6.68bn.

    India’s exports to Latin America reached a record high of 22.41 billion dollars in 2022-23 (April-March), according to the latest release from the Commerce Ministry of India. Exports increased by an impressive 19% from US$ 18.89 billion in 2021-22, exceeding the 6.86% increase in India’s global exports.

    One Web Low Earth Orbit satellite ground station in St Helena to operate in partnership with Sure

    OneWeb announced a partnership with Sure, which operates on the Falkland Islands, Saint Helena, and Ascension Island, alongside geosynchronous orbit (GEO) satellite firm Intelsat

    The Low Earth Orbit satellite firm OneWeb is set to place a ground station on the island of St. Helena and take capacity on the island’s trunk of the Equiano subsea cable. Reported in the St Helena Independent, One Web has signed a 10-year ground station agreement with local telco Sure.
