Air rates increase.

Chilean airlines have increased their rates in coincidence with the high season, although some of the special promotions will still be available under certain conditions.

As of this month the 50.000 Chilean pesos promotional return ticket Santiago/Punta Arenas increases to 89.900 pesos plus 7.578 boarding tax for the three airlines flying to the extreme south of Chile: Aero Continente, Avant and Lan Chile-Ladeco.

However for those flying with Aero Continente, promotional tickets booked before November 25th will be valid until December 6th.

In Avant promotional rates previously booked are valid until December 15th., while Lan Chile-Ladeco special rates for students and pensioners will remain available until next March as long as they are booked before December 31st.

In spite of the rate hikes Aero Continetal is considering a second daily schedule from Santiago to Punta Arenas.
