Disinfectant Foot Baths are being put in place for passengers prior to entering the air terminal at MPA, Cameron Bell told FIBS today.
This is one of the measures planned to prevent Foot and Mouth Disease known as FMD virus entering the Falkland Islands.
Customs will also be asking people whether they've been on farms in the last four weeks and signs are being placed at MPA and Brize Norton to warn travellers about risks of importing the FMD virus into the Falkland Islands.
Further outbreaks of the Foot and Mouth disease have been reported in the UK and the disease is said to be putting fear into every farmer in the country.
Cameron Bell, the veterinary consultant from the Department of Agriculture tells us how dangerous this virus is.
