British Antarctic Survey Twin Otters and the Dash-7 should be arriving in the Falkland Islands next week.

Stanley BAS representative Pauline Sacket said the Dash-7 and three Twin Otters which will be flying from Calgary, Canada are scheduled to spend four or five days in the Islands before jumping to the Antarctic continent depending on the weather.

The RRS James Clarke Ross sailed from the United Kingdom on September 24th and should be calling into Stanley for a few days on the 20th October, before a short call in Montevideo.

RRS Ernest Shackleton will be calling into Mare Harbour on the 24th November for a couple of days but will not be calling into Stanley, on her first visit at least. Last year saw the final BAS season with Myriam Booth handing over to Pauline who says she is "looking forward" to her first season working by herself at the BAS office in Stanley. (FIBS)
