Gibraltar Government has confirmed that it intends to make a substantial cash contribution to the Tsunami appeal. Details are expected to be announced later this week. The Government is also understood to be looking at other ways in which the victims can be assisted.

Marble ARC joins Tsunami appeal

As from today staff and directors at Marble Arc have decided that the day of the Three Kings should be used also to give the best presents to the victims of the Tsunami, many of whom are children.

They will be starting their sale on this day with a "Buy one, get one FREE" offer on all products. 30% of all the proceeds on this day will be donated to the victims, said Raju Purswani the MD.

In addition, all the staff members will be making individual contributions to the fund. Donation boxes will be set up in all Marble Arc shops. "We are asking all our colleagues and friends and passers by to contribute generously to this fund. In true Marble Arc style, all this will be taking place with a pinch of fun- all our staff will be dressing in unusual attire for the event and we'll be playing Indian music all day! We will be donating all the monies collected to The Hindu Merchants Association, who will be forwarding the total amount collected by the 10th January."
