Falklands friends gather in London for exhibition opening.

A DISPLAY of images of the Falklands captured by a man who once served in the Islands with the Royal Air Force are on show at Falkland House in London.

A reception was held on Tuesday evening to open the exhibition of images by David Osborn who now also sells tours to the Islands. The reception and exhibition were sponsored by Stanley Services Ltd, Falkland Islands Holidays, Fotospeed, SF Digital and the Falkland Islands Government Office.

At the reception were four Members of Parliament, students Teslyn Barkman and Zoran Zuvic-Bulic, Joan Shockley and Tom Swales of Stanley Services Ltd, representatives from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Ministry of Defence and many more guests.

Wildlife photographer and Falkland Islands UK tour operator, David served with the RAF in the Falklands in 1989/90. He has since made several trips to the Islands with groups of tourists where he updates his library of wildlife and scenic images.

Guests were able to view 22 of these beautiful and colourful shots at the opening reception.

The exhibition will be available to view by the public until June 2005 and further information can be obtained from FIGO via admin@falklands.gov.fk(PN)
