Four groups have submitted adjusted offers to Terminal Cuenca del Plata, TCP, which operates a container port terminal at Uruguay's capital Montevideo, for an expansion and recovery project.
TCP announced that the four groups are Construcoes e Comerico Camargo Correa; Constructora Norberto Odebretch-Jan Nul NV; Dredging International-Dragados y Obras Portuarias and Soletanche Bachy-Saceem.
Although initially five groups presented offer a year ago, four resubmitted offers after TCP modified bidding details based on the initial offers received, said a TCP spokesperson.
Once technical offers have been reviewed, offers will be opened.
The contract entails project design and carrying out works that involve extending the main jetty 350 metres to serve vessels with a maximum draft of 13 metres and expanding the container staging area by 80,000 square metres. A reference price was not made public but original estimates mentioned forty million US dollars.
Works are part of TCP investment development program outlined in its concession contract with the country's national ports administration, ANP.
TCP won its concession December 2001 and is controlled by Nelsury, 80% with the remainder held by ANP.
