Latinamerican women work much harder than men according to a report from the United Nations Commission for Latinamerica and the Caribbean released during the XIII summit of the America's First Ladies which finished last week end in Asuncion, Paraguay.
"Latinamerican women have longer working days than espouses", said Rosario Aguirre, spokesperson for the grouping.
She added that women who have full time jobs "are forced to work at home twice as much as their husbands in similar conditions".
Gloria Penayo Duarte, Paraguay's First Lady revealed that according to Cepal, women constitute 35% of the economically active population of her country and 26% of homes were headed by a woman.
