Britain and Argentina will be holding talks in London this Wednesday and Thursday to discuss the mandate of the South Atlantic Fisheries Commission, SAFC, according to a release from the Government House in Stanley, Falkland Islands.
The meeting has been arranged at the request of the Argentine government, points out the release.
The SAFC, together with a Scientific Sub Committee was set up in 1990 and has normally met twice a year, but did not hold a full meeting last year, although there has been some exchange of technical data.
The Falkland Islands Director of Fisheries is scheduled to attend the meeting at the Foreign Office.
