Argentina's Defence Minsiter Nilda Garré confirmed Friday in Puerto Belgrano that a British invitation to jointly commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Falklands/Malvinas conflict is currently under consideration by the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reports the Buenos Aires press.

Ms Garré was present Friday at Argentina's main naval base next to President Nestor Kirchner for the inauguration of the Navy's Petty Officers School.

Last Monday in London, British authorities advanced details of next year's program to recall the South Atlantic conflict which begun when Argentine marines landed in the Islands April 2, 1982, until they finally surrendered to a British Task Force June 14.

The four days events programmed by the Tony Blair government to officially remember the conflict includes among others a religious service to the memory of all the military personnel (UK and Argentine) killed during the war; re-hoisting the Union Jack in the Islands on June 14 and a parade downtown London of Falklands' veterans.

The Falkland Islands also has plans for the commemoration and is looking forward to receiving a significant number of British veterans and their families.

The Argentine press mentions that the daughter of former Primer Minister Margaret Thatcher, who led the war in 1982, is currently in the Falklands filming a documentary on the conflict that is to be titled "Mummy's war".
