Patrick Mullee new British ambassador to Uruguay

Patrick Mullee has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to Uruguay in succession to Dr Hugh Salvesen, who will be leaving the Diplomatic Service.

Mr Mullee will take up his appointment during March 2008, according to the official Foreign Office release. Since 2003 Mullee has been the FCO Human Resources Manager, Directorate General for Defence and Intelligence; 2000 - 2003 Quito, Deputy Head of Mission and Consul; 1997 - 2000 FCO, Deputy Head of Personnel Management Unit; 1995 - 1997 FCO, Eastern Caribbean Desk; 1991 - 1995 Bridgetown, Second Secretary; 1988 - 1991 San José, Vice Consul; 1985 - 1988 FCO, Policy Planning Staff; 1980 - 1984 Latin America and Africa Floater; 1977 - 1980 Caracas. Ambassador Mullee is married to Joanna and has two daughters.
