The world's largest passenger aircraft, Airbus 380 will be landing in Chile at the end of the month to participate in the International Air and Space Fair, FIDE.
The double deck aircraft that can carry 850 passengers will remain in the fair's grounds north of Santiago a few days and she will be open to visitors, reports the Chilean press. FIDE which lasts a week until April 6th is rated among the world's five main air shows and the 2008 edition includes Airbus latest models besides the A380, such as the A-350 XWB and the wide freight aircraft A-330-200. Europe's Airbus located in France and Boeing's main competitor has delivered more than 5.000 aircrafts and has more than 370 customers and operators globally. The company has pending orders for another 3.600 airplanes. Airbus is a global company with design and manufacturing facilities in France, Germany, the UK and Spain as well as subsidiaries in the U.S., China, Japan and in the Middle East. Headquartered in Toulouse, France, Airbus is an EADS company LAN Chile is one of Airbus main clients in Latinamerica.
