Disclaimer & comment rulesPerhaps if the Obama campaign and now the administration had paid Latin America a little more attention from the beginning, it would not be in the akward position it is now. It is a bit hard to conduct a credible campaign to counter the likes of Hugo Chavez and company when you still have no Assistant Secretary of State for Hemispheric Affairs some 8 months after the inauguration!
