Uruguay will definitively abandon Mercosur if Luis Alberto Lacalle is elected president in the run off on November 29th. Lacalle also forecasted that Mercosur as a customs union has not much time left, “it’s a dying organization”. Read full article

I couldn't believe my ears and my eyes. This guy is a retarded. Poor uruguay, who would buy its good if not argentina and brazil! Uruguay represent just a bit of mercosur. This guy will damage its economy.

If the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is accepted into the MERCOSUR as a full member state, MERCOSUR will self-implode. Accordingly, Uruguay's withdrawal would only anticipate the inevitable demise of MERCOSUR
