President Hugo Chavez said he was hopeful the Paraguayan congress would vote for Venezuela to join Mercosur since Paraguay is one of the countires to “most benefit” from such an incorporation. Read full article

I am glad that Paraguay stands on its own believes and it is very much firm on its idiological and international decisions.
Venezuela shall not enter as member of Mercosur, otherwise, a chaos would dominate the current peaceful atmosphere of Mercosur's group.
Trade with Venezuela is accepted, but there should be no other commitments beyond that one.
