......“Our objective is to build the cruise tourism market but a key focus will be encouraging visitor expenditure in the Falklands.”.....

    - Tourists can go to the cassinos, 5 stars hotels, amazing sunny beaches, giant night clubs and visit the breathtaking waterfalls. :-)
    Did I miss something?

Yes, Jorge, you miss just about everything. You've never been to the Falklands so you wouldn't know either way...

Yes Jorge, you forgot to tell, that the tourist has to be protected by bodybilders/bodygards especially when it is dark or darkening or otherwise .....

So, for Jorge, a holiday isn't complete without a visit to a casino? I am not surprised - after all, Jorge has been gambling with his credibilty ever since he started posting in MercoPress;-)

Jorge I take it the term “Niche” market is an alien concept to you?

Perhaps the Falklands markets itself to the traveller who doesn't want to go to casinos, who doesn't want to get drunk in night clubs or visit crowded sun kissed beaches. But instead markets itself to the traveller who wants to see remote places, pristine enviroments abundant wildlife in a wholly unique setting?

I don't know about you Jorge but I would rather have memories of stunning pristine landscapes unique remote places, that I will remember for the rest of my days....rather than spending a weeks wages getting plastered in a sweaty night club and having a hangover that incapcitates you for the next two days...what an achievment and a story to tell the grandchildren?

You can find a casino and a nightclub in every corner of the globe and I must say they are wholly un-different between continents, except in south Africa where they have shoot outs on the dance floor as an added attraction.

The Falklands are seen as a little bit of sanity 300 miles off the coast of South America. A little bit of Britain, stable and free, a beacon to, and covetted by, its bigger, bullying and envious neighbours;-))))))
