You really want Russian equipment? well go ahead then by all means, it might lead to a greater era of peace in Latin America as all your weapons will fall apart before war begins!

We should view this development with alarm!! Russia selling nuclear power technology to Latin America. Oh God!!
No. Where was that place? Chernobyl. Could be a solution to the Latin American problem.
Russian weapons!!! Help!!! No, they want dollars for them, don't they? As they try to establish a proper market economy.
Does Argentina have the dollars? Don't think so.
So, all a bit of a red herring really.

The Russians are a funny lot, they do do produce some exceptional pieces of kit (think of the AK47, dirt cheap and virtually indestructable or the MT55 bridging tank, the workings for which was stolen by pretty much everyone) but they do produce their share of pups (think T54/55 with the nice unshielded internal ammunition stores) and mongrels (the autoloader on the T62 used to have the endearing habit of firing the casings of spent rounds around the crew compartment at high speed, that is assuming that the driver hadn't broken it by bouncing the tank around too much).

Anyone want to guess what they'd be likely to be selling?
