Trade talks between the European Commission and Mercosur will begin at the end of the month, June 29 in Buenos Aires, according to EC sources. Talks are scheduled to last for over a year and expected to receive strong criticism from EU farmers’ organizations. Read full article

So the practice of using cyanide in ore separation, use of growth hormones for animals, the production of GM crops and so forth must result in a segregation between goods suitable for EU consumption and those for SA consumption. 100% checks must be carried out at the EU border, paid for by SA. Any goods found unsuitable for EU consumption to be returned to SA at SA expense, or dumped at sea at SA expense.
