The disembowelled bodies of brutally slaughtered whales line a dockside just 230 miles from Britain - as families with children wander among them, according to a report from The Sun. Read full article

Those people are brutal, disgusting and need to be stopped when it comes to these whale killings. I watched the video and was horrified. Man is a highly evolved creature with technology at his fingertips....why act like a damn chimp? This must stop.

I totally agree...
And the best way to do it is for the EU to target their Fishing Industry.
They are 90% dependent of it and just a threat of increased levies would force them to stop this madness.......
They are the nicest people but stubborn, obdurate and stiff-necked as many other Islanders over the world.
But they know how many cents make one Dollar......
No think, the Falklanders do not indulge in such disgusting slaughter, unlike the Japanese!
They kill whales for research Pah!
It's just for money, the mighty Yen rules!
Never mind, it'll come back to bite them in the ass!
Soon we hope!

Excuse me....... for writing a friendly comment in a Scandinavian language to a Scandinavian people about a Scandinavian issue.....
Also knowing that many readers in Malvinas would have understand it due to their Scandinavian roots.....
5 Think:
As a typical argentinian you still don't follow law, rules an regulations. The editor specifically stipulated: “Comments must be in English. Thank you”. You copy and pasted from another source in a different language.
This is so typical of Denmark and its environmental policies. Living in Denmark, we are constantly told how environmentally friendly and advanced we are as a country. The truth is that the Danes and the government are not. We are some of the largest per capita consumers, litter constantly and only play green we it suits our needs or image. This is just another example of our disregard for nature and her creatures.

Hmmm...... You don't hear the UK claiming the Faroe islands because they are close, do you.
I hope the Argentines will stop the ignorance and see that they have been indoctrinated and lied to about the Falklands sovereignty dispute. What idiots
Shetland and Orkney have settles from Norway in AD800. Wales and Scotland there was very little Scandinavian influence, the Western Isles (islands of the west coast of Scotland) had a small number of settlers from Norway.
In England think of a line from top of Wales to just above London to just above York, that's where the 'Vikings' were.
The majority of Falkland Islanders are Scottish and Welsh heritage, who are mainly of Celtic/Gaelic origin.
(16) Falky
History Channel, the Falklands way!
Scandinavian roots are mainly English.
400 years of Viking cruise tourism to the British Isles, where the leisure activitieswere killing the men, marrying their women, eating their sheep, burning the churches, impaling their small ridiculous dogs and fathering a new litter of half-breeds every year ”before deciding to settle permanently and create the United Kingdom under their (Vi) Kings.
That you say is : Scandinavian roots are mainly English.?
Ha Ha Ha or, as we say in Argentina
Ja Ja Ja.............
I didn't say they were not, I wasn't there at the time but I'm sure it was true, but in mostly in England. Not really Wales/Scotland.
Which parts of the UK did the Falkland Islanders come from? Wales/Scotland.
The United Kingdom was created in 1702 with the Treaty of Union , I think you are confusing yourself with England/British Isles/United Kingdom/Great Britain, I suggest you go and read a book.
Boy Boy Boy.....
Vikings have indelibly permeated the whole of the United Kingdom history and Culture......
Who the heck do you Think you learned to be such good Pirates from?
If you are Islander; just look at Stanley’s twin Town: Whitby, derived from the town of Visby in Gøtland, present Sweden........ http://www.whitbygazette.co.uk/news/Project-aims-to-map-our.4950706.jp
How many Islander’s surnames end with the suffix ............sen or .............son?
Well....... those folks are quite certainly full of Scandinavian DNA!
Thinky.. have a Think about what I said in the previous comment.
Falkland islanders - around 70-80% are of Welsh and Scottish heritage.
Whitby is where?
1 - Scotland
2 - Wales
3 - North Yorkshire in England (York - Jorvik)
Just in case you dont know i'll try and make it simple... Scotland is the bit at the top, Wales is the sticky out bit on the left above the long sticky out bit called Cornwall (that is in England). And to the right of Wales and below Scotland is England!
You are right about the Vikings, but England is not the United Kingdom.
Its funny with you Britons.
For the good things you are always an United Kingdom...... but when something is inconvenient you atomize the Kingdom in little pieces so the responsibility, blame, fault, error, blunder or defect always lays someplace else :-)
Anyway, the vikings impregnated every woman in the British Isles for more than 300 years.
And they didn't care if they where English, Scottish, Welsh or from the Black Country.
To say it in plain Vikingsk: Et Hul er et Hul” (A hole is a hole)
Impregnated *every* woman, impressive! Them Viking studs, with their big horns! But it could have been worse... they could have murdered the indigenous populations.
Among stock Argentine characters, the gaucho looms largest, a man at home in the saddle and at one with his horse, Fnar Fnar who roams the pampas herding cattle. Local folklore has elevated this beef-eating mate sharing figure, Fun up the pampas fnar fnar

This is, at least, better than South America where standards are, at best, immoral or non-existent.
