    It's an ridiculous that Venezuela is being impeded from joining in Mercosur just because of some Congressmen's ideological biases. Bussinesses are businesses. Even the US trades with Venezuela for Venezuela has oil and a relatively large market. That is enough for Mercosur to want it to join them.

    “Paraguay’s Congress is dragging their vote to allow populist Venezuela to become a Mercosur member. Eventually this poor county will say: YES, due to the mounted pressure of Argentina, Brazil and servile, lackey Uruguay”.

    Venezuela's profitabilty is waning. Chavez is a dictator...as indicated by his change to the Venezuelan constitution making it possible for him to stay in power endlessly without democratic check.
