I guess the only bad thing about a 10% growth is that every british will come trash Argentina for doing good and try to tell us how things can be done better.

    Some Pearls of this article.....

The scenario was confirmed by credit-markets showing that Argentina’s debt is less risky than Greece for the first time in seven weeks as the country’s economy is set to grow at the fastest pace since 1992.
Argentine credit risk is estimated to remain below Greece as surging commodity exports boost tax revenue according to Wells Fargo & Co.

Argentina’s economy is forecast to grow 9.7% this year by Morgan Stanley, the fastest in the region.

Furthermore Argentina’s budget deficit will equal 0.1% of GDP this year, according to Morgan Stanley, which revised its estimate lower from 1% earlier in the month.

A record 55 million-ton soybean harvest helped the central bank boost reserves to an all-time high of 51.1 billion US dollars in July and pushed tax revenue 39% higher in June from a year earlier to 37.3 billion pesos.

Incredible how Cristina Kirchner manages to manipulate the International Banks and Credit Markets...... :-)
    They must be very dumb.........
Or could it be that things are going her way........?

Another confirmation the economy is overheating but they don't care. I guess CFK figures she can sustain the gains until the next election and then let it crash. Although that didn't work out too well for the last President who tried.
Unless smoking and drinking mate is increasing productivity I don't think it is a true indication of how well the economy is performing.
Nice to see they are using Greece as an example of how well Argentina is doing. HAHAHAHA

Marco, Argentina's economy would not have to grow to double it's size to match the UK's, Argentina's economy would have to grow a full seven times to even match the UK's.

No, gassy, you are soooooooo desperate for justification. Typical ambassadorial statement. What it means is that Britain and Argentina (and the Falkland Islands) could get along well - if only Argentines weren't so friggin' stupid!!

I consider very stupid to spend my time in office wasting visits where I know I will not be welcome, in any case I think britain should deal with Islas Malvinas issue if we are going to move on to really important issues, untill then I think british official are wasting their time, Argentina and britain can both survive without eachother, we speak spanish there is a major cultural gap, I am an Argentine Citizen you are a british subject, you are mad at the conflicting statistical reports of morgan stanley and the mercopress quote of a irrelevant stupid Argentine “Private economists and politicians including Vice President Julio Cobos who have questioned the government data”, someone not too popular in the Argentine congress, and I am pist at brits for having such a single minded opressive monolog in regards to every Argentine issue.

I have not forgot nico, and i'll say again, the UK has been in MUCH worse situations than this before, and we have always pulled through. And we will again.

We will make drastic cuts for the next 7 years or so, and it's opur responcibility to do so. At the end of it we are still going to be within the worlds top ten economically and militaristic powers in the world.

What the Argentinians don't understand about the US and UK is that we see what is coming and will to take the steps to fix it. We don't default on our debt and steal from the rest of the world like they did and will do again. We also have the will and know how to get whatever we want done. They don't. They don't even know where to begin.
Our standard of living has been increasing for 200 years theirs has been falling over the last 60 years. It is a huge difference but they don't want to see the facts or admit the patterns. It must be an arrogance, a stupidity or just plain embarrassment that allows this kind of “reasoning”.

    FREDBDC:
You are absolutly right, your country allways see what is coming, and takes the steps to fix it, that's why last crisis didn't prejudice your economy very much, please, what your idiot resentment and haughtyness does not let you see is that you are wrong, you wont never recognize it, you will prefer to shoot your balls before recognize that you were wrong, for resentfull people like you it's very easy to criticise another country, with out making a deep analisis of your own situation.
Anyway you are right when you say that in this country there is not any continuation of the policys betwen diferent governments, that's our bigest fail.
Finally time is allways on your side like you say, that's why all what you, and all the rest of rediculus gurus predicted for my country really happened, you should be our minister of economy.

No one denys that my country has serious problems, we have a 23% of poor people, wich is a lot, but tha porcentage was 53% in 2003, i already told it to you in many oportunitys, but as usuall the hate and resentment that you feel for argentina (the country of your wife), only lets you see the bad side of our culture, and our terrible problems.
What cronica says is true, anyway that newspaper is very sensationalist, it had blood in all it's pages, it's shamefull.

    Moron NICHOLAS:
The 40% that you mean, was published by the uca (catolic university from argentina), it's the only one stadistic that holds that poverty in argentina is of 40%, actually it's manipulated according to the church's orders, all the rest of the stadistics hold that the povery is betwen 23%, and 33%, our indec says that it's 13%, but i dont believe in absolut on it's manipulated indexes.
If you would know really about our reality, you would not parrot all the crap that you like to say all the time.

40% haha this figure is from 2001 in the worst of the recession/depression when the GDP shrunk 11%.

The land of Idiot is doing pretty well thank for you concern.

And by the way our rate of poverty now is 13% the rest are political appreciation.
Church, think tanks, etc have not infrastructure, capability, know how to conduct serious surveys or statistics.

You don’t have to waste your time on Argentina if you want to see poverty, misery and shantytowns just make a little walk around US big cities.

Next year US is going to be Africa so why not concentrate in your own business?

Interesting documentary about the evolution of your debt here in 2008 your debt was 8.8 trillions

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_TjBNjc9Bo&feature=related

And here you actual debt numbers, now your external debt is... let me see 13,69 trillions and growing faster http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_TjBNjc9Bo&feature=related

Nicholas you are a broke country living a fantasy life by borrowing like crazy you are not a rich country anymore else a debt making county.

Everything you take for granted today will be gone.
