Chilean regional airports international passenger traffic up 55% in five years

Increased travel to Chile’s tourist sites, tax free zones, and mining areas have necessitated greater travel to regional airports, the Civil Aeronautics Board reported last week. As a result, Iquique and Easter Island lead in the number of flights, followed by Arica and Punta Arenas. Read full article

    Why isn't Chile listed under “Regions” on the pull-down menu?

    Santiago's Benítez International is my favorite airport, I'm not fond of BsAs's Ezeiza International even though its security is much better implemented.

    Because Chile isn´t full MERCOSUR member and is not in the Atlantic Area, I suppose.
    But, anyway, articles about Chile are oftenly appearing here so that isn´t a problem....
