It is a strange situation. Timerman is a Jew, President Obama's administration and Israeli Government support my country's government. Timerman is good friends with many politicians in the United States of America. So I would hazard a guess, that he is counting on that and feeling confident in his actions. I guess that's what's happening to Timmy. He's a good guy, but I don't like him...very much. Politicians are weird people.

R.I.P. Argentina
@xbox, What makes you think Obama likes CFK or Timmerman? From what I heard CFK was desperately trying to get a meeting and picture with him at the UN conf in NYC but couldn't, even though at one point they were at the same event! They ended up seating CFK next to Chelsea Clinton, at the kids table hahaha. Kind of embarrassing for Argentina isn't it?
Oct 07th, 2010 - 12:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0CFK, Erdogan, Ban Ki Moon and Obama at kids table.

the Americans may be lots of things in this life, and they may at times go against the British, this is calls freedom of speech, but they are not stupid, what they say, and what they do are two completely different things, and if their attitude at this time,, is given as a green light to Argentina over the Falklands, then sadly Argentina will pay a very heavy price for there greed and stupidity,, the yanks can tell they love them all day, but when the fighting starts, the yanks will be at home watching it on telly, supporting the brits behind the scenes as normal and Argentina will look very stupid when all there support drops away, why don’t you just grow up, and respect the right of people to rule themselves in peace, then we can ALL go home in peace, but the argies keep on pushing and pushing, ,,so don’t cry when the elastic band snaps and hits you in face ,, peace brothers peace ,mmmmmm
Oct 07th, 2010 - 10:42 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I never really get why Argentina keeps trying to rally support from the US, it won't ever happen.
Oct 08th, 2010 - 12:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0The politicians and even most US citizens would tell you that US' closest ally is Britain. Has been for a long time, will be for a long time.
Billy, where is Obama's pic w/cfk? It's not on the link you gave us. So sad no one knows who she is and why she is there.
