Oct 14th, 2010 - 05:15 pm - Link - Report abuse 0This is the typical demagogy from the kingdom and British media at best.
Her majestic will not have his party and will save Britain economy saving 50 k Pounds of taxpayer money.
But her accounts in the banks grow and grow with the profits of business related with UK taxpayer money.
Fidel Castro looks as a learner compared with her.
“join us...if you can.”
They cannot because they are strangle to survive.
The normal Brits strangle to get a salary of 2000 pound a month. This amount will represent $2000 pesos in Argentina. Can you consider yourself rich with 2k pesos at month?
Some moron believe that Brits average income is 34,8k what in nature is GDP per capita (what is what produce not what earns) so the guy can be earning 1000 pound at month what would not be enough to pay a decent rent in London. So they have to share a house with other people to rise the cost of the rent and ended up living in an Italian pensioni or a Pension del Once.
So where goes the difference of 34.800-1000=2480?
To the top 15% always winners of UK middle age system. Let’s say the same rich families and employees related that have been ruling Britain since the Romans abandoned the province.
But he feels proud to be Brits, her royal family and to be rich. What can you do?
So may be Hoytred is planing to work in Britain and buy his food, rent and spend all in Argentina. Who knows?
But even though with 1000 Quids (6200 pesos the salary of a truck driver) wouldn’t be rich down here we just call this low middle class.

Oct 14th, 2010 - 09:32 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Much of what you said didn't make sence, but:
”1000 Quids (6200 pesos the salary of a truck driver) ”
Thats £12,000 a year. The same as a salary as a truck driver in Argentina?
Average UK truck driver salary - £23,542
this could well be a ruse, to let the argies think we are going to dump the lot, it might give themsome backbone, to attack the falklands,

Oct 15th, 2010 - 11:50 am - Link - Report abuse 0So the average British truck driver gets paid the equivalent of 150,000 pesos. So my salary just before I retired was around £34,500 a year. That would be around 208,000 pesos. How could that make any difference to intelligent Argies?
the trouble with you 3rd world people, is that you just never understand the british way of doing things,

Oct 16th, 2010 - 12:43 am - Link - Report abuse 0“UK truck driver salary - £23,542” And what I said? That the average brit strangle to earn 2000 pounds.
£2000 represents in Argentina $2000 (pesos) PPP so a person earning $2000 would have the same style of living than your in Britan.
Truck driver in Argentina earns $6000 what would represnt the PPP of £6000 in Britain £72.000 a year.
Try to live in Britain with £2000 and then tell me how rich you are. I am making the comparison with London and Buenos Aires.
You should not take into account the exchange rate value as a factor as you has to use this salary to live in Britan. Argentina has less salary in exchange rate value but also the cost of living. A rent of a house near London will cost lets say 1200 to 2000 pounds at month but in Argentina will cost the same house or better £250
@ Typhoon
Get your head out of the Island please £2.875 in Britain is nothing would be like $2800 pesos in Argentina you are poor you can rent a house outside central London, eat and may be drink some beers that’s all then you have to apply to your credit car and credit to survive, to buy a car and to buy extras.
In UK to live you need £1200/1400 to rent a house, £400/600 Tesco, £200 to £300 (Electricity and gas), £200 (public transport), Internet £30 to £50, cable TV.
Taken all the cheapest options you already expend £2.030 (No car, clothing, pup, dinner out, clubbing, cinema, etc just like a dead at home)
In Argentina $1200/1400 same hose, 400/600 supermarket (Including meat every day), Electricity and gas $80/200, $200 (public transportation) Internet, cable TV, phone $130 to $189.
Opps $2010
So can you tell me Typho how do consider yourself rich living in UKI?
average salary £1800 a month. top 10% richer salary average in health service is £4.124 a month (£1,031 a week) IT service and corporate managers £2.980 (£745 a week).Basic salary full time job £ 900 to £1112 a month you can check your fake statistic called ASHE
You are Stupid Ignorant and poor
And what I said? That the average brit strangle to earn 2000 pounds.
Oct 16th, 2010 - 01:36 am - Link - Report abuse 0No, you said 1000. Which is wrong, 1000 x12 = 12,000 a year or 6000 pesos per month(which by your own words is the average salary for an argentine truck driver).
The average salary in the UK is infact double that, at around £24,000(2000 a month or about 12,000 pesos.)
ӣ2000 represents in Argentina $2000 (pesos) PPP so a person earning $2000 would have the same style of living than your in Britan.
No, the pound is six times more valuable than the peso. The pound is infact the third of fourth most valuable currency in the world.
In UK to live you need £1200/1400 to rent a house, £400/600 Tesco, £200 to £300 (Electricity and gas), £200 (public transport), Internet £30 to £50, cable TV.
Taken all the cheapest options you already expend £2.030 (No car, clothing, pup, dinner out, clubbing, cinema, etc just like a dead at home)”
Where the HELL did you come up with that lot? lmao.
Rent is a little over £800 a month, about £250 a month on food and other stuff, i don't know how expensive you think gas and electic bills are over here but thats insane, mine is about £40 a month. Transport is cheap for me about £120 a month and cable+internet is £30 in a package.

No I said 2000 see my post here http://en.mercopress.com/2010/10/14/raf-reacts-ahead-of-uk-defence-review-which-anticipates-deep-spending-cuts#comment23384
So in plain simple each of £1000 represent $1000 (pesos) in Power Purchasing Parity buying some comparable products and in comparable urban areas.
Zethe, you have to learn economy to understand
“No, the pound is six times more valuable than the peso.”
This is known as Official Exchange Rate is the comparable value against other currency.
So the value of £ is higher than the $ (peso) but not the Power of Purchasing in its respective economies.
And here a simple example: If I can buy 6 eggs with my devaluated $ in Argentina and you can only buy 3 eggs same quality with your overvaluated £ in Britain... Who is the richer?
I will eat 3 eggs more than you. Have you noted that?
The rent you pay of £800 is too little and a said a house not home what means the entire 3/2 floor building.
The cheaper house I found in the middle of nowhere in London the rent is £1,062 per month and only has 66 m2 what kind of house can has 66 m2? http://en.mercopress.com/2010/10/14/raf-reacts-ahead-of-uk-defence-review-which-anticipates-deep-spending-cuts#comment23384
My has 370m2 +120m2 garden owner have you got the picture now?
The prices are made remembering my own fees when living in London mate conservative way and not like in Argentina else I would expended more.
The transport fee was made assuming costing £10 living in great London having to go to work. And not weekly, etc package and the same for the guy in Buenos Aires. I forgot lunch when working.
The only way you expend so little is if you are getting benefits and sitting all the time at home.
What I recommend you to do that instead to work for 2.000 pounds you will get the same from govt. and you will save energy, traveling, lunching and will have a lot of time to be posting in the forum of Mercopress.
Oh wait a minute you are already doing so? Joke acid argie humor don’t get piss off. : )

You see, I live in England. A nice country house. I don't rent it. I bought it. It's all mine. I don't use public transport. I have a nice modern car. A large executive BMW as it happens. And I'm not even working! I'm retired.
I have to admit that I do sometimes get confused over which of my 3 TVs to watch, or which of my 4 computers to use, but I manage.

The guy (if true what he said) was earning £2.875 and with that he thinks is rich in England by having a house in the middle of nowhere England countryside.
I was comparing London with Buenos Aires and not to the countryside mate.
Can you see the difference?

With the price of your house you cannot even buy a little flat in London.
And by having a BMW in Europe that doesn’t make you rich mate. A Mercedes Benz CLC-Class model in Britain range from £18.000 to £22000.
The key factor here is lifestyle, to have you a middle-middle class Argie’s style of life you would need to earn more than £10.000 a month in England.
Be siting in a old Pub talking about the old days of the British empire doesn’t mean to me a good lifestyle and for you?
Come on sir my mum cans live with a 1/3 of what needs a young/middle young person she just watch TV eats and take care of a shitty garden. Start to go outside, date with women, go to parties and trips around Europe looking for fun and more women and you will see how poor you are. You will expend your 2800 in a week or may be less.
After all what its useful to have money? Ah! and don’t forget to include the Viagr@ in the budget here cost £6 the package of 6 pills essential to keep all that women happy.
Typhoo you can still can buy one here in case your PC broke down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFf_KnbtQvQ

Oh Nic. How foolish you are.
Oct 17th, 2010 - 11:05 am - Link - Report abuse 0Why would I want to live in London. Nasty dirty place full of foreigners. Also a description of BA. Except London doesn't have shanty towns for the poor.
As for my car? I'm afraid the price for the range starts at £30,000.
My lifestyle? I like it. I go where I want, when I want without having to worry about working. I can even sit down and watch my 50 inch widescreen high definition TV if I want.
Last time I was in Europe was last year. Six weeks. France, Spain, Portugal, GIBRALTAR, Monaco, Luxembourg, Belgium. Quite nice.
Viagra? Don't need it, thanks. You keep it. But I can get it free from my doctor if I want.
You can also keep your floppy drives. I don't use them.
the only people that need VIAGRA, is the argentinians, it may well be needed to keep your backs straight ??

Oct 19th, 2010 - 10:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The problem with your estimates is that you are so over the top nico you just make your self look stupid. Under half of that would be considered very well off.
£25,000 a year is generally easy to live on and have a few holidays a year.
Under that, say about 16-18,000 a year would be quite difficult to live on(for me anyway, but i know a few people who manage and don't complain much)
Anything above 50,000 a year is very nice
The 120,000 a year is the kind of salary top government officials have.
