Political agreement for a more democratic Mercosur parliament

Mercosur reached a political agreement to review the composition and election of the group’s Parliament, Parlasur. Under the new system to be implemented in several years the number of seats will be increased based on proportional representation and members of Parlasur will be chosen by direct universal vote. I agree with you.
I hope Chile get away from Mercosur and just sign a trade agreement with it as well as with the others we already have.
What a deal!! very fair for Paraguay and Uruguay. Yeap !!!

Fair or not fair, everybody in the South American nations, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and perhaps Venezuela, should vote against this. This is only more big government that will make the same mistakes like in Europe. The EU won't survive because we have nothing common than perhaps in trade, even that is a problem sometimes. Same in South America, where some nations speak Spanish, but not always understand each other and not always share the same ideas and where the biggest of all speaks Portuguese and doesn't have anything in common with all Hispanic latin american countries. South America united is bogus, similar like in Europe.

I agree with you Fido but a lot of people in the EU are pro a unified europe.

The nation most against it has been the UK, government and oppinion polls.
