Argentina’s Economy minister Amado Boudou announced Tuesday that the President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner's administration is to request aid from the International Monetary Fund to help with a new price index. Read full article
Now Marcos called Goldman a bunch of crooks and liars! Now that Argentina has been forced to accept IMF assistance to calculate a CPI we will see who is actually a telling porkies.
hey, President Cristina, you and your husband said that NO MORE IMF, and I believed that it was true. What's going on here? You liars, should be exterminated! Boudou lives in Puerto Madero? That says it all, he doesn't know what INFLATION is.

Give credit where it is due. Indec figures as you know are an exercise in deception. By using the IMF's technical assistance to report real inflation figures it will not only benefit Argentina on the long run but do a lot to restore credibility. That could have various positives concerning debt repayment and Investment ratings. Wether you like it or not the IMF still plays an inportant role. On the budget - the 6.5 % to be spent on education is long overdue and a very positive step by the Ruling party. So it seems with the election looming the Kirchnerites are doing some things right.

I concord fully with Mr. Pedro.....
The Kirchnerites are doing manythings right......
And...Don't forget:
The IMF technical assistance is free of charge :-)
Argentina must make their statistics reliable. This is a first step though, an audit is likely shortly. Argentina is bound by many international treaties to allow a yearly audit andhe DC community is insisting on one shortly. They may let it go until the next election but probably not. From what I hear they are threatening expulsion from many Int'l institutions if CFK doesn't comply, World Bank, IDB, IMF, G20 etc. It would be very humiliating to get kicked out and become even more isolated. As I said in many messages it was just a matter of time.
Pedro, I undersstand what you say, but people at the IMF are like hunting dogs. We know them very well. Why do we need to do what they say? Why can they say if Argentinians don't do what we say they'll be punished for that That's unfair. Did people forget about Cavallo? It was a disaster! Why can't we have a more local IMF?
I don't like this, anyway, I hope that something better comes along then.
fredbdc = Elisa Carrió = I told you, I told you, I told you
The problem I see for CFK is when the IMF establishes the new formula it will be used on the last 7 years of data, then they will have lots of law suits for bilking the CER bondholders out of their correct interest payments. It will get really ugly and expensive. hee hee
Ohh, XBOX don't you like when I am proven right? This is only the beginning so you better get used to it.
Nope, thought you were talking about someone else Xblox, anyway you must realise by now that:
(A) I don't give a shit what you think and
(B) that profanity really doesn't bother me.
I'm very touched that you felt you had to apologise, it's clearly been upsetting you that you posted something so impolite....however I suggest you man the fuck up a bit, I'd never apologise to you if I said for instance:
'You Argies are all greasy little, surrender monkey, spiks'...Just as an example.
Wasn't it? well in that case I'll drop the 'for instance'....
