So other South American countries will “inform” Argentina about ships that are heading from their territory to the Islands, but do nothing to prevent their movements and provide port facilities etc.

That is a bit like rubbing Argentina's nose in it.

Hasn't anyone in Argentina heard of AIS?

“Argentina has made it official policy to lodge complaints, before all international fora on what it considers the illegal exploitation of hydrocarbons on the Malvinas continental shelf by companies that have been unilaterally authorized by London.”

But not the ICJ, the one body that can rule on the matter.

Licenses are authorised and issued in Stanley, Falklands capital and the seat of the Falkland Islands Government, I take it this is a spelling error or someone doesn't understand geography.

Think - Be my guest, carry on hammering your small rusty nails into an empty wooden box. Just watch out you don't hurt your thumb and make sure you get your tetanus jab.

We will carry on with the galvanised nuts and bolts of business. Perhaps we could sell you and your neighbours some naval monitoring equipment?

    Profits are everywhere.

“Yet another little nail on Britain's diplomatic coffin on the South Atlantic......”

You really see this as a “victory” They first said they would ban all falkland flagged shipps from all nations.

Now they're saying they'll just tell Argentina when it comes into port, not ban them.

    All words, no actions.

Wow, a tough one for the British government to answer:
“We haven't authorized any oil exploration, unilaterally or otherwise, What the FIG do in their economic zone is their business. Next question?”

Mindlessly pattoting the same fiction about Britians unilateral actions and refusing to aknowledge the existence of the FIG only serves to make you look more stupid than even you Argies deserve

    Well what can one say....
you can take a horse to water but you can't make him drink is not a bad anology to attempting to help an Argentinian understand how British Overseas Territories work, if you refuse to see what's right in front of you then what more can we do?
Go right on being ignorant then if it gives you comfort.

Oh yeah and I wouldn't be too complacent about what the rest of the World thinks of your posturings, Aside from other nations you have enough influence over to force to play your game (not many) lip service is all you're going to get. It's rather like someone trying to mollify an aggressive drunkard, you pretend to agree with him so he'll get out of your face.

You can joke about it as much as you like but….

If nothing really drastic happens soon, (Argentina suddenly sinking into the Ocean or a “humongous gigantiquistical” oil discovery in Malvinas) the next five years will be quite disastrous for the Islands Fishing Industry.

Think, there's nothing you can do ... remember! Got a five year plan? Wow, those were a socialist method of taking something forward, but rarely worked. The fish come and go, the tourists come and go ... but the Falklands will remain British. As I've told you before Think, even if there are no penguins left, the islands will still be British.

Think- 9- it is the internationally accepted address all other,s seem to use! A bit like your Aerlinease Argentinas airline who kept on filing requests to start flights to the Islands - to the Dept of Civil Aviation in Britain - and wondered why they never got a permit!
Wow -you are to destroy our fisheries and tourism in 5 years!! OK you can create an environmental disaster by deliberate overfishing your side of straddling stocks - and that will indeed have some effect. BUT how can you do anything to those stocks that are in, and stay in our EEZ? - start a naval war? - dont recall your side coming off to well before in that line.
Tourism? Like to see little Argentina physically stopping cruise ships offshore here. Dont forget last time there were mutterings of “difficulies” for ships travelling here from Arg ports the big serious cruise lines quietly let it be known that they just might drop Arg from the schedules instead- lo - the “difficulities” melted away!
Yes your side is being a petty nuiscance, irritating and annoying to us - causing us real economic hardship or starvation or financial collapse - No, and No again.
