Desire Petroleum plc (DES:AIM) the oil and gas company wholly focussed on the North Falkland Basin, wishes to provide the following operations update. Read full article
Yep. There needs to be updates to inform the market of any information that may be regarded as price sensitive. During drilling this can happen day to day.
I suppose it matters more when you have money on it.
lol, what a waste of time, Exxon already told the US gov in a confidential cable, that there's not enough oil in the Malvinas to make it commercially viable
But, by all means, the UK should go spend the last few billions of dollars it can borrow, to strike more WATER, lol.
Time will tell ... not that there will be any disadvantage to the Falkland Islanders. After all ... the licences have been sold and the money is in the bank!
The US gov, Exxon, and I, are all saying the same thing.
lol @ mad mohammeds, spending the last billions they can borrow
Strange, I thought finding oil came naturally to mohammeds.
@12
I understand that Britain isn't spending a bean on oil exploration down here, the licenced exploration companies are, if anyone takes a tumble it'll be them.
LOL, the companies are UK based.
And yes, UK is spending money lobbying other countries and sending military ships down, to try to project their power/rule over the Malvinas.
The funniest part is, even while UK tries its damnedest, Argentina is winning over countries instead, and UK is clearly losing this fight.
UK's investors losing money, as well as the gov spending money trying to project power there.........in search of WATER, lol. Good job mad mohammeds! you struck...........WATER! hahaha, in an ocean of all places
Can any of the deluded daegos list the nations that have actually done anything of note to support Argentina?
Exxon based there conclusion on what data? Was it the same source that said Iraq had WMD or the source that said that the UK would not be able to liberate the islands from the dirty junta.
What is Sealion if not oil? Appraisal programme starts in Jan 2011.
Master - You have no leverage and are a pathetic bunch of uneducated insignificants. Thankfully there is hope for collaboration if the more realistic people in your country start to have their voice heard. If you are not interested then stay in that s**thole that you came from.
Little Bo peep has lost her sheep
And doesn't know where to find them.
Leave them alone and they'll come home,
Bringing their tails behind them.
Little Bo peep fell fast asleep
And dreamt she heard them bleating,
But when she awoke, she found it a joke,
For they were all still fleeting.
Then up she took her little crook
Determined for to find them.
She found them indeed, but it made her heart bleed,
For they left their tails behind them.
It happened one day, as Bo peep did stray
Into a meadow hard by,
There she espied their tails side by side
All hung on a tree to dry.
She heaved a sigh, and wiped her eye,
And over the hillocks went rambling,
And tried what she could,
As a shepherdess should,
To tack again each to its lambkin.
Marcos - You have got to be careful of those Royal Navy subs. They don't find Argentine ships palatable. Wouldn't want to see anything happen to the pride of your navy now would you. What would you do without those 4 patrol boats?
Ask those poor sailors who survived the Belgrano sinking about British subs! Many of their comrades died at the hand of your dictatorship.
England is done. Done with Argentina that is. Done you good and proper. Now which nation has a habit of defaulting on it's debt. Which nation has found it impossible to get it's so called allies to do anything to disrupt the drilling (Brazil actually provided logistical support for the rig).
Time forming to put up or shut up. 2011 a year of more drilling that you are powerless to stop.
I hear they have given the Argentine armed forces Viagra to cure their impotence. Most of them refused to swallow it and instead put it in their eye. Apparently they only wanted to look hard.
Argentina, once known as the world’s best beef producer and the breadbasket of
the world, today is now sometimes called the Oil Republic or Soya Republic, due
to the way Argentina is producing GM Soya.
The effect of this policy can be seen in the disappearance of thousands of farming
units, with consequent massive rural exodus to the cities; a large increase in the
area of land devoted to cropping at the expense of pasturing [grass-feeding] cattle;
increase of oilseed production, mainly Soya at the expense of traditional crops;
Master - so you are an Islamaphobe as well as an Anglophobe. Nice to know you are a member of such a tolerant society. Must be that facist streak again.
Yes Marco we are done; job done. Victorious and magnanimous in that victory. Pity you cannot be such good losers and get rid of that chip on your shoulder.
Ah. Marco's Homepage, Debtbombshell. A website that has been closed down. Good effort!
A debt of 50% gdp isn't going to harm us, as much as you would love for it to do so. After ww2 we was at 240% gdp. Did it break us? no. Did it make us a crappy economy? no.
Sounds like you are either at Heathrow for days or on those long lines trying to catch Eurostar to escape to civilization......let it snow let it snow...
