Another step towards an absolute dictatorship. Thus man has ruined his countries economy and is so paranoid that he has to have the option to rule be decree and restrict individual freedom!

And South America actually look up to this nutter!

I don't think they look up to him, Chavez makes cash payments to the various leaders that he wants to control. Wouldn't you publicly profess someone who paid you to be nice them with a few suitcases full of U$100 bills? CFK got U$800k as a down-payment, and GOK how many 100s of Millions that she has received over the years. I would imagine Evo and Lula had a similar deal. It is not like they are known for their honesty.

This is another example that far left and far right are not a dichotomy but meet at the same junction. Both ideologies are suspicious of those on the outside and due to their paranoia seek to silence those that don't agree with their perspective. Both are abhorrent ideologies and only create misery.

Why is it that this country is a major oil producer and suffers power shortages? Why is it that this county previously exported coffee but now is an importer? One answer, socialism (for all its seductive promise) is a flawed concept. In supposedly socialist counties you see that some people are more equal than others and the political elite elevate themselves as a class above the citizens. Anyone who strives for success is suppressed. That sound like a progressive economic descision.

When are these Marxists going to realize that their ideology is condeming themselves and their families to a live of hardship and poverty?
