A record number of immigrants were deported from the United States in 2010 boosted in part by the expansion of the Secure Communities program of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which identifies imprisoned undocumented foreigners. Read full article

    I applaud the use of Secure Communities, for it makes the public safer and more secure. Sharing this information with ICE, enables the federal govt. to make their rightful decision regarding one's immigration status. People that ignore the legal pathway, for immigration, relize they may be deported. It also makes for a more EQUAL application of the law.
