    Funny story :-)

I suppose that MercoPress evaluates such a story to be more relevant for its “core” readers than Brazil's refusal of docking rights for the HMS Clyde.

As I said in the beginning.........

    Funny story :-)

I think it is rather sad rather than funny.

Its a bugger when you have to carry cash when you go on your hols 'cos no-one will extend you any credit.

Pretty sad about the bloke getting robbed too.....

Bloody hilarious, not funny! Hasn't Christina heard about credit cards? But, then I suspect Arg business usually consists of under the table wadges, so perhaps thats what the cash was for.
And as for carrying cash in a backpack... who was previously listening and or watching... yes, bloody hilarious!

WOW. 90 grand for a couple of days in the middle of Beast.
I also think someone better be watching the backpack boy and his buddies very, very closely over the next few months.

@ 5 Douglas Money in cash is quite often used to pay for aviation fuel at airports. So having that much cash is not very out of the ordinary.

Stealing from another robber is not a crime...

Hahaha, I thought there was no crime in BA? How in the world could some official take out that much money from a Treasury account, put it in a back pack and go home? Does anyone see a problem with this? No wonder so many politicians go in poor and come our fabulously wealthy in this most foul place. What a bunch of filthy corrupt animals and I am talking about the CFK gov't not the robber.

Make the bimbo fly coach on a commercial line. The “government” can find something better to do with the other 85 grand...............like spend it on hookers and con_sultation fees.

    Another core reader Thunk :-)

Police were investigating why the official withdrew the money ahead of the trip and why he was apparently taking it home with him.

Must have been quite a surprise for CFK. Getting her money stolen for a change instead of stealing it. Easy come, easy go. There's plenty more where that came from.

Perhaps the money was to be used to encourage another State/Leader/Diplomat, to back the argentine claim to the
    Falklands !!!!.
Nothing seems too devious for the Argies.
I hope the money has gone to a “GOOD CAUSE”

Pittance, CFK was paid 2MM in a cash “campaign contributions” from Uncle Hugo and only 800K was found during a customs search of 2 of 6 suitcases. The only reason it was found was because of the scheduling conflict and the wrong customs agent was on duty. The one who didn't get paid a cut!
It is funny that this HUGE BRIBE from another country's leader was never fully investigated, and lo and behold CFK is still President. I wonder if the next President will investigate?

Is the president of Argentina worried her credit card won't be accepted in countries that do real credit ckecks. Even Gordon Brown couldn't cock a country up that badly.

CFK hasn't really cocked up a country...............yet. Her old man did most of that. But you have to give her points for trying to make things...........(I don't know whether the right word is better or worse. I guess it depends on your point of view.) Still, as long as Cristina is still stacking up oodles of dosh for that palace she wants to buy (when she's decided she can't screw any more money out of her fellow citizens) and has enough money to run it properly with all the necessary slav...sorry, servants, the botox treatments and so forth. Is it true that she studies ancient Egyptian texts to find out whether she has achieved the same state of mummification as the Pharoahs? And has her own personal autographed copy of the Book of the Dead?

Once they find out everything she'll be living in Miami, complaining about her govt, just like all of the other Latinos who are whining because guys like Fidel, Hugo and Evo no longer allow the fatcats to take advantage of their own citizens.
