I would like to see an independent Palestinian homeland. I think the Israelis would too but they need to be persuaded that their own security will not be put in peril. The rights of both the Palestinians and Israelis to self determination should be respected by all.

Be Serious. I don't know of the feelings of the Israeli populace. But it is clear that the Israeli political leadership intends to make a Palestinian state inviable by destructing the AP and ruining whatever infrastructure and economy Palestine has. Israel clearly plans to annexate Palestine land to its own teritory. How much of it, we cannot know. But this is already happening, not only by means of settlement building. See the West Bank wall; this wall has deprived Palestinians of land that belongs to them.

I hope you're wrong because there will never be peace and that will continue to affect the whole world. I absolutely agree your point vis a vis the West Bank wall, but the Israelis will counter that it was erected in haste, to deter the suicide bombing attacks.
