coming from almost diametrically opposed backgrounds, but striking out with autocratic policies, with one having proven hoards of cash, and new found wealth, somehow mysteriously acquired since election and the other presumably looking to do the same... ladies discussing how to conduct a shopping spree at someone else's expense... what else could they have talked about?

falklandlad, not only your post was misogynistic, it was plain dumb. And it is very funny of you to accuse other leaders of “striking ou with autocratic policies” whilst in the UK civil liberties are being extinguished year by year.

    Re 1 & 2:

The innuendo about the sexuality of female leaders of nations always surfaces in national elections. Though it was widely reported in Brasil that such a relationship had resulted in a claim for maintenance being made to the then prospective President, the story was squashed in all papers as the election drew near - indeed, it might have been a 'put-up job'.
Now, as Dilma shows her true worth, it is a non-story. These are 'modern times', even in ostensibly Catholic countries.

PS. And by the way, Dilma is not 'a young lady', she is a pensioner who has made the best of her appearence the way that Brasilian women frequently do.

    Mostly NE/Bahian 'cuisine'.
But, having Argentinan friends, I get a lot of bbq meat. Meat prices are getting to be no joke!

LOL the earth fear is LatinAmerica's policitcal strengh, if it wasn't for the innuendo LatinAmerica's activity would be as important as that of Chad or Mali, meat is good the problem is the abuse of supersize meals, I don't hear many people in Ehiopia or Sudan with meat abuse related problems. Brazil and Argentina need to stop taking foreign money for their economic activities and use their national bank for local investments, a huge export tax on raw material and a moderate tax for finished or processed products.

LOL #15 thanks for the heads up, China is slowly droping the U$ currency and I doubt UK will have it any better, This is why we need to trust our own currency and national bank at least at the end of the day our own country will benefit.

#17 selfsuficient, independent, economically biable or otherways sound, all of them couses for an economy morale boost, a happy gambler is a productive investor. The president is not taking currency theft lightly, she seems to know what she is doing, maybe there should be a fee for exchanging U$ and Chinese currency in Brazil.
