Feb 14th, 2011 - 11:30 am - Link - Report abuse 0DIM thinks that Brazil will support Argentina's spurious claim to the Falkland islands 'militarily' ..... lol, funny !
Feb 14th, 2011 - 12:00 pm - Link - Report abuse 0lol @ stagnating for decades UK
Feb 14th, 2011 - 12:41 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Hoyt; Brazil is supporting argentina´s claim because it´s in their own interest to have a free south atlantic from any alien extrarregional power and because they want a way to reach antartica; today UK is an obstacle and argentina their key to achieve that.
Feb 14th, 2011 - 01:57 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Billious .. another RG who cannot read! I used the term 'militarily' - Brazil will NOT go to war over another country's disputes, she's far more concerned with protecting her off shore oil industry and rather less concerned with Argentina's geopolitical aspirations. Indeed Argentina may yet become a nuisance when Brazil develops her own Antartic desires!
Feb 14th, 2011 - 03:04 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Giving mainly verbal support costs her nothing! And for all the talk the suggestion from the islanders is that the current round of oil exploration is still assisted by Brazil.
Add to that Brazil's UNSC hopes and she will not threaten the UK...... dream on!
4 Your gibberish is definitely improving. Keep up the good work me old mucker.
Feb 14th, 2011 - 03:25 pm - Link - Report abuse 0New support of Brazil to the I claim for Malvinas
Feb 14th, 2011 - 04:25 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The Brazilian minister of Defense, Nelson Jobim, of visit in our country, ratified the back from his country to the sovereignty of the Argentina on the Islas Malvinas, when sustaining that there is a historical commitment of support of the Argentinean rights in the archipelago of the South Atlantic.
The governments from the Argentina and Brazil agreed to secure the cooperation knots among the two countries in the defense area like a strategic and essential politics for the region. The minister of Defense, Arturo Puricelli, and their couple of Brazil, Nelson Jobim, they signed a combined declaration with the objective of working for efectivizar projects linked to vehicles and military airships, I support logistical to the antarctic campaigns, cooperation for a South Atlantic free of nuclear weapons, combined exercises and attendance to third countries.
With this declaration we deepen the collaboration in the defense area, Puricelli stressed, accompanied by Jobim, during a visit to the facilities of the Argentinean Naval Industrial Complex (CINAR), conformed by the Shops Naval North Basin (Tandanor) and the Shop Admiral Storni (former Domeq García), in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of The Mouth.
The minister of Defense also thanked the support expressed by Jobim regarding the sovereignty on the Malvinas and it criticized the unilateral position of Great Britain in the oil exploitation in the waters that surround the Islands.
I suppose the next step will be for Brazil to break off diplomatic relations with the UK.
Feb 14th, 2011 - 05:28 pm - Link - Report abuse 0#12 everything in time, think of it this way! the longer the struggle remains the longer policans can milk the cow. Argentina waited over a century what's a few more decades? in any case before going to war outright a country needs to explore political solutions, I don't think Argentina or Brazil would arm themseleves if there was any posible peacefull solution, we all know how much south america like to pocket dirty money rather then invest in their country.
Feb 14th, 2011 - 08:26 pm - Link - Report abuse 0total rubbish as usual, great Britain will still be in the south Atlantic one hundred years from now, and if you believe different come and tell me then and complain. the south Atlantic is Britain’s only guaranteed route to the world , that cannot be blockaded, and she will never allow anyone to prevent this, we are an island that imports over 90% by sea, you work it out,,,,,,,,
Feb 14th, 2011 - 09:46 pm - Link - Report abuse 0we also have other territories down their that can if ever required, be militarised, so dream on , Argentina will be very lucky to survive the next 30 years without breaking apart into smaller countries , ???
13 So that's a no then. Didn't think so.
Feb 14th, 2011 - 10:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0#11 - just talk Rolly - and just the usual talk at that, Brazil has no problem talking but will not act against the UK in any substantial way.

Feb 15th, 2011 - 04:10 am - Link - Report abuse 0Are you serious or what?
We don’t need that Brazin enters into any war for us, else we need that Brazil will not provide any assistance to any Britsh military force, etc.
With that is just enough we will take care of the war business without any problem as we always have done in the past.
Of course any war would be necessary if a political solution is worked out with UK.
: )
Stuoid boy DIM - you are quite incapable on your own. And which 'past' are you talking about? 1982??
Feb 15th, 2011 - 04:21 am - Link - Report abuse 0You are not capable of war and we do not need a 'political' settlement.
For Billious - interesting -
... Brazil should take the opportunity and enact a rapprochement with Britain rather than seeking to isolate it. This is why Brasilia’s championing of Buenos Aires is in fact counter-productive for its interests. One shouldn’t empower a potential rival, especially at the cost of a potential ally....
http://westphalianpost.wordpress.com/2010/12/22/brazils-monroe-doctrine/
18 But if you can absorb that potential rival then that's one step towards Brazil's dream of total domination of South America and the South Atlantic.

Feb 15th, 2011 - 10:35 am - Link - Report abuse 0“You are not capable of war and we do not need a 'political' settlement”
If you say so must be true haha ha Zzzzzzz : )
Still Argies 3 Brits 1 no so bad what do you think?
Our nations have only had one war nico. The battles(note: not wars) you speak of were part of the Napoleonic Wars and we all know won that.
Feb 15th, 2011 - 01:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0naaa Argentina dont need help from any 2nd rate country, they deal with there own problems, they can deal with britain and the falklands all on their own zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Feb 15th, 2011 - 08:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0We Buenos Aires defeated you 3 times in war : )
Feb 16th, 2011 - 02:27 am - Link - Report abuse 0Do you want more?
LOL funny NicoDimwit - Since we had never been to war with argentina or bouenos aires prior to 1982, but only with spain and france during the time of the battles involving buenos aires, at the time you are referring to. Then it was not the argentinians that beat us in battle as argentina did not exist at the time. so UK 1 Argentina 0 is the correct tally regarding wars between our 2 countries.
Feb 16th, 2011 - 08:19 am - Link - Report abuse 0@Teaboy2
Feb 16th, 2011 - 11:54 am - Link - Report abuse 0Spain is in the Iberian Peninsula and we are in South America and the Spanish didn’t send any help down here else they protected Perú. And as result of that we become independent and pushed away the Spanish in South America. Locals defeat the British 3 times.
So according with you:
If we invade you and Britain doesn’t send any help to you and leaves you on your own. And you with your locals defeat us, we can say that we were defeated by Britain? Or better of as you were and are part of OTAN and the EU at that time (1982) can we say that we fought against America her allies plus the European Union?
Wow I know now why we lost that war in 1982, because we fought against the world. An even though we could defeat you.
But don’t worry the next war we will make very clear who was who defeat you and in the more humiliating way. haha
So you cannot say that was Mercosur this time.
Still if you like Buenos Aires 3 Brits 1 down here a tremendous scoring what make you a poor loser.
23 Those battles to which you refer were merely extended raids, hardly wars.
Feb 16th, 2011 - 12:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The 1982 Falklands War itself was small scale simply because the Argentine Military tended to surrender at the first opportunity.
@Be serious
Feb 16th, 2011 - 12:57 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Really? be serious please.
Let me see...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUZu8bvxJs4&playnext=1&list=PL7E4CE254BF4B81F3 Wow some Brits’ navies need a refurbish I guess.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUZu8bvxJs4&playnext=1&list=PL7E4CE254BF4B81F3 I don’t see anyone wanting to surrender yet.
And you?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUZu8bvxJs4&playnext=1&list=PL7E4CE254BF4B81F3 Captain West seems a little be shocked after the fight. What do you think.
Ha ha BE you were lucky that’s all, very, very, very lucky that Galtieri was a drunk moron.
Else you were still crying

Feb 16th, 2011 - 03:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0If britain went home, and you went to war with the falklands islands and LOST, they would be very happy with that, BUT could argentina live with the shame, mmmmmmmmmmmmm I doubt it .
Wow ! how much bullshit on here this world cannot enter one war nowadays cause the assholes whom governs this fucking orb have to clean up their asses before do something I mean at the first signs of conflict and defeats the ones whom feel themselves owners of the truth would ease catch as soon as possible their fucking toys nuclear weapons to destroy other part of the world as the biggest assholes americans have done in Japan killing only innocent people rather than the japanese army prefering to attack the inocent crowd . Actually this world if full of interests and greedy dumb politicians europeans and north american governs which the only true intentions are to deceive and explore other countries stealing their natural sources of energy in fact europe Great Britain and north america are the great hugest deceivers and thieves of this world since colonized americas , killing in the name of their God damned fake democracy of spreading destruction and disagreement with their foreign policy whereever they stand their feet all over this world . Lately US was killing torturing raping many thousand inocents in Iraq ... where are the fucking mass destructions weapons of Iraq ? Wait ... well I know where they were concealed , in the black asshole of Mr Bush .

OK now back to reality on 1806/07 the Spanish and the French were very happy too, Oh! Look these brave Argies they kick the @ss of the Arrogant British.
If the losers Brits could survive all this time with the shame, I don’t see any problem for us.
So Briton prepare your local army in Malvinas and launch you first strike.
Sure you will have in the future your own statue made in bronze in Buenos Aires with a sign saying.
“Briton Malvinas 1864-2011
We honor him for been the bravest enemy in Argentina’s history. The man really had balls to fight against us”
Haha
l think you've lost it this time, Marcos.
Feb 17th, 2011 - 10:14 am - Link - Report abuse 0nations win and lose wars all the time. of course we have lost wars and battles before----but we've won a lot also. no-one can win all the time, however the trick is, can you recover from a reverse.
we lost 13 colonies in the Americas in 1783, but then we went on to create the biggest empire the world has ever seen(well maybe the Mongol may have been bigger, not sure) now thats over. we did what we had to.
don't see the Argentines creating much, just whinging & whinning about their islands, which are NOT their lslands. start looking after your own people. Argentina and stop crying over what you cannot have
well you just cant argue with that. the facts are facts
Feb 17th, 2011 - 12:15 pm - Link - Report abuse 0argentina lost, the falklands are still british.

Feb 17th, 2011 - 01:08 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I rather think the defence support will be rather one way, unless Argentina can afford to fix any aircraft, or keep a naval warship at sea for more than a week. Brazil seems to be going out on a huge limb to support argentina, but i rather think they'll one day realise what Argentina is, a ball and chain around its leg.
