    Seems that is where they are going to play cricket....... it will be interesting to see what sort of diplomatic pressure the RGs try to bring to bear.

    See para 4. “Contest” would be a better word.

    “Falklands’ encouraged by ICC will dispute cricket tournament in Costa Rica”

    Whats to dispute, the tournment has not happened yet so how can it be disputed. Does the person who wrote this article no what the meaning of the word dispute is:

    1. To argue about; debate.
    2. To question the truth or validity of; doubt: Her friends disputed her intentions.
    3. To strive to win (a prize, for example); contest for: Our team disputed the visitors' claim to the championship.
    4. To strive against; resist: disputed the actions of his competitors.

    Would it have not been more appropriate to use the following title instead - “Falklands’ encouraged by ICC to take part in a cricket tournament in Costa Rica”

    Using the word dispute is misleading and should only be used when something is being disputed after the event or during the event not before the event happens. I.e “Falklands’ encouraged by ICC to dispute the outcome of the cricket tournament in Costa Rica”

    Ok i know, it was a small point that i went over the top off, but given the argentine DISPUTE on the sovereingty of the falklands i find it insenstive to use the word DISPUTE for an article about a cricket tournament.

    @Martin

    Well at least i wasn't spruting off a load of made up history to back any false claims to islands like you and other argentine idiots do on this site.

    And my point was made clear by my post above, there was a far better way of wording the title of the article.

    As for “...cricket, haha” Well its better than taking womens babies away at birth and throwing their mothers out of an airplane like to see argentina take on the falkland islands at cricket, as you'd get your arses kicked.
