Mar 17th, 2011 - 05:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Extraordinary rendition is not a British policy, a policy that Argentina extended into free one-way helicopter rides for people it disagreed with.
If the latest blog is true, then perhaps argentina will get its chance to back up its bloggers , who as we all know are dying to put words into action, is this not true, mmmmm
Mar 17th, 2011 - 10:03 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Yul. At least we do something about dictators. Still waiting for a thank you for helping you get rid of your junta. Oh sorry for a short period in 1982 you lot loved your dictator didn't you, forgot that bit (must have been too short)!
Mar 17th, 2011 - 10:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0One of these days the RN will send a Type 45 on an Antarctic Patrol, you can imagine the reaction of the Argentine political machine when a vessel capable of defending the Falklands from the entire military might of South America (except French Guiana), docks in Stanley.
Mar 18th, 2011 - 12:47 am - Link - Report abuse 0Our response will be that we can't help being so much more advanced in military terms, because if you sit on the UNSC and hold a veto, you need to be able to contribute to Worldwide Security; rather than having a planned ability to field a few boats a couple of hundred miles from shore.
Be careful Wireless, the RG keyboard warriors'll acuse you of warmongering....then you'll be sorry!
Mar 18th, 2011 - 01:07 am - Link - Report abuse 0WestisBest, all I want as a UK & British English tax payer is that the UK MoD protects you as a British Falklander for as long as you wish it to do so.
Mar 18th, 2011 - 01:25 am - Link - Report abuse 0If being honourable like that upsets a few Peronist Argentinians then so be it, it doesn't matter to me, and it shouldn't matter to you. Neither of us has anything to be sorry about, and unless you guys say different, there's nothing to negotiate, simples.
