Paraguay after partners to explore for oil in the vast Chaco region

Paraguay’s government oil company Petropar is trying to find a foreign associate for oil exploration in the country’s vast Chaco region. Apparently companies from Russia and Bahrain have shown certain interest but Paraguayans admit the difficulties. Read full article

    Hopefully for our friends, Paraguay is not being declared indispensable argentinian territory now, with Argentina reviving the invasion war of the triple alianza. Paraguay had to ceed enough territory to Argentina in the past.

    By the way, why don't Paraguayans whine for their lost territories anyway?

    This area where Paraguay is exploring for oil is the same area where the British Natural History Museum were refused access to research and protect wild animals and plants on the grounds that they might disturb the local indigenants who had little contact with civilization.
    Oil is, of course, another matter (wry smile).
