“Connecting Argentina through its own waters is consistent with the national Constitution, which states that all people should be able to circulate freely throughout their national territory”

Damn right we should, now we only need our Mainland-Malvinas route back. ;-)

Must make you Argies so proud having a government that every day and for evermore fails to enforce what is enshrined in your constitution, you're perpetual losers, no wonder you're so bitter.

Martin, you have a direct flight once a month? Why not ask your own airline to apply to fly here as well?- oh yes - slight problem isnt there - they would have to apply to and communicate with the aviataion dept of a Govt that apparently does not exist! Same with your cargo ships - they would have no cargo to carry as your customs people would not allow and documentation to be completed - and undocumented and unlicensed cargo is not usually allowed ashore in any country of the world - standard procedure I think.

“the government plans to work with coastal shipping runners and open a new route to Tierra del Fuego”. Don´t hold your breath for this to be done. This goveernment talks and promises plenty, but accomplishes almost 0% of what is promised. And where is the money to come from? They can not even feed the starving Indians in Argentina!

I think Argentina needed a government that created results and here is one of the many example, however there is no need to apologize to Chile since Argentina can't deal with Chile's confrontational leaders, I think they should consider themselves lucky because Argentina could use the oportunity to annex the south of Chile and open the road anyways, that is what Chile did to Bolivia when they took Bolivia's access to the pacific ocean, what is good enought for others should be good enought for Chile as well, I wonder if Bolivia would take on Chile if Argentina supplyed them with weapons, there is a lot of money to be made there, MI6 and CIA are doing it in Libya, that is how the world functions today, Colombia and Mexico pay a lot of money to USA to fight the drug cartel fueled by the US$ and US weapons, wake up and smell the pirats people.

@6 ... Yes Martin , Have you noticed something? They are All perfect, the British Empire back in the 1800 was the way to go , people needed to be conquered so when we start the debate , they start with Gral Roca, the Spanish go home and leave the indians alone BUT we cannot talk about their atrocities , bla, bla ,bla and the how many missils they have in Malvinas, bla, bla, bla ...... instead of having fun , debating an issue in a normal way , I have to hear all this bullshit !!!!!!!!

@ 6Martin_Fierro, you are the bitter, angry one, Martino.
@9 artillero601,most of the bullshit & lies here come from the Argentines. The reason posters bring up your atrocities & land thefts is because you want to do the same thing to us in the Falklands. Many of you have called for ethnic cleansing. You accuse us of stealing“your lslands”, (when they are not yours at all)yet you stole land from others.(the indians & Paraguay)& you cannot see the hypocrisy in this!
The reason some people say, “Spanish go home, you are implanted” is because many of you say we are “implanted” & should go back to the UK.
We have as much right to be here as you. Do you think you are something special? Finally my dear gunner,if you had been following these posts you would know what l am talkling about.

@ 10 ...I agree somehow ....and I was not a gunner , Artillero = Artillery Officer, 601= Anti aircraft Unit in Mar del Plata, Argentina. The debate continues Isolde?? You need to realize that we have morons on each side, once side wants to kick you out and the other one wants to bomb Buenos Aires, do you follow me?

You don't need any mate, just do what you did last time, I am sure that you would be made very welcome, in fact I am sure you would get a hot reception to welcome you all. But if you came in peace and stopped with the ridiculous attention seeking I am sure that a little bit of paperwork could be sorted out. Don't forget now to bring your Argentine passport though just like you would if you were coming to Britain.

@11 artillero601, agreed, idiots on both sides. l don't want to bomb anyone, unless they try to bomb us.
Although a gunner is the lowest rank in our artillery it also means everyone, officers & men in those units. l realise that it may be different in other country's armies. Peace.

@14,artillero601. what passport have you got? An Argentine one would require a visa. Not sure about an American one. Also you would have to have either a return or onward ticket & l think sufficient funds for your stay. l may be out of date too. Best to check on the Falkland lslands Government(FIG)website. Hope this helps.
