Disclaimer & comment rulesaccept reality and adjust to it... The dollar is getting weaker all over the world, not only in Chile. By the way, most of the fruit isn't going to the US market anymore, but great part to the EU, and there is no big fluctuation between the peso and the Euro. So stop whining...

May 13th, 2011 - 01:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Geoff yes, it was signed and effective even before the US FTA in 2002 and goes somewhat deeper, as it has an extended status of asociation.

May 15th, 2011 - 07:22 pm - Link - Report abuse 0ManRod is the shortcut for Manuel Rodriguez, a Chilean independence figure and biggest supporter of Jose Carrera, in the first rebellion against spanish beginning of the IX century. He was betrayed by the leaders (O'Higgins and San Martin) of the second intent for the Chilean liberation. They ordered to kill him, as he did not belong to the secret lautaro lodge and saw him (and Carrera, who was also killed by San Martins people) as a danger for their own aspirations of power.

No, I am not in import-export business, but telco.
The Reconquest (1814-1817), “Manuel Rodríguez (was) the ideal spy since he was very shrewd and skilled for this position, and furthermore, his humble origins allowed him to easily pass for a commoner. He began creating disguises and communications systems—often carrying out his duties disguised as a monk, farmer, street merchant, domestic servant or even as a woman.”
