British Prime Minister David Cameron and US President Barack Obama have written a joint article for the Times at the start of the US State Visit to the UK. Read full article
And after all that speech begging to Obo made by Camerum, Obama said ok your time is over nice to see you. We will not support you against the Argies are you crazy or what? they are bloody mad. Who next?
Ha ha poor Britones from “The Lion of the seas” to a Chiguagua from the Middle East and broke.
Being the dog of US will not help you guys to get out of troubles when are you going to understand that? You only give to the world a poor and sick image from a country being driving to decadence by stupid politicians like Tony Blur, Gordo Browne and now Camerum. Sad really sad.
It is an essential relationship. Even if you leave out defence issues, there are so many trade and business links that benefit both parties. People do business with people which is why it is important to meet face to face and build relationships. Nothing wrong with that.
Still smarting Nicotine?and I am not talking about the spanking you got from your boyfriend
The plane arrived at a sensitive time for Argentine-U.S. relations. Since the White House announced that President Barack Obama would visit Chile and Brazil but skip Argentina in his first trip to South America
If I had to pick two economies in South America that I would want to foster trade relations with, it would be Chile and Brazil. That is exactly what these visits are all about.
Though, obviously, Obama has another agenda as he starts his campaign for re-election. The visit to Eire was a triumph and will go down very well with the 34 million Irish-American population. A State Visit to the UK is a rare event for a US President and there is currently renewed affection for anything royal in the US following the wedding, so all those photo opportunities with the Royals will be favourable.
The Latino vote is significant also and he will want to visit Latin American countries that are of trade interest to the US and where there is a cordial relationship.
Generally, my grandson has never believed the British do anything for a common good, rather than their selfish interests.
•During a recent British stand off with Argentina over rights to The Falkland Islands, Obama supported Argentina”
The Latino vote is significant also and he will want to visit Latin American countries that are of trade interest to the US and where there is a cordial relationship.
Give me a break with your so called Latino vote is significant. Patty Obozo is a pro open border and just wants more illegal aliens for his corporate buddies.
Marcos, that's why he returned the bust of Wiston Churchill back. This guy hates those ugly brits and it's amazing how they adore this empty jack. For brits here who believe in that special relationship...ask an average person in the US and they say I don't give a damn about those left wing wieners in the UK..that's how they think about the UK.
Argentina. Where's that? It's off the coast of the Falkland Islands. But it's not economically significant. How does it place in the world? Have you heard of 10th world countries? Argentina is a bit below that. But they have lots of psychiatrists. Because they have lots of nutters. An appreciable number are in the government. Why government? Would you want to be ruled by a Botox-inflated female and an idiot tosspot called Timerman?
And for those of you that did not quite understand the meaning,,,
it means Argentina has now noted that the USA will not back them,
They will not get involved, that sadly leave Argentina and Hugo,
As the only two nations still living in cuckoo land, poor sods lol
Mercopress knows how to get it's views. You guys always take the bait.
It cannot be denied that the UK and the US have a special relationship. We are so cultural similar and have come together as one voice on so many occasions it would be ridiculous to deny the existence of the special relationship.
A better question would be whether the special relation is really good for the UK as a nation. We all no of times when the UK has allowed the US to walk all over it to retain the special relationship.
Also I have to admit that the supposed friendship between the two leaders seems so fake I cannot imagine them having anything in common. The relationship between the two could not hold a candle to that of Macmillan and Kennedy/Churchill and Roosevelt (who were related) from a bygone era. Whereas the friendship between the Queen and the first couple seemed surprisingly genuine.
I don't see why Obama would give the UK the time of day if it wasn't for the special relationship as it's a dying economy along with the rest of Europe plain and simple.
How interesting, Redhoyt belongs to the British chapter of the Birther Movement - that movement that believes Obama is secretly a Keynian-born, Marxist, pro-homosexual Muslim that wants America to embrace Mao. :)
Britain the former name of Ukistan now better known as the NO country.
NO empire, NO influence, NO power, NO special relationship, NO Money, NO credit, NO industries, NO Army, No docking access, NO friends, NO pride, NO education, NO good teeth, NO brains, NO sense of ridiculous... Uff
Nico - yes you sunk a few ships and this was expected by the UK high command and was viewed as an acceptable loss. Despite your apparent glee remember you failed to win a single battle after your initial invasion. You were fighting a war on your doorstep against a force that had to travel from the opposite hemisphere and yet failed.
Even you have to admit that you are rather useless.
@34 Beef,
All theorists said that they should have won, but so very glad that they didn't. Just finished reading Admiral Woodward's One Hundred Days for the second time. Great.
We can all dream and condemn others, but the facts speak,
Argentina lost, beaten by a vastly smaller force from a tiny island 8,000 miles away, Argentina should be ashamed to show her face, suffering from an embarrassing disaster, but then again no shame, no brain,
