C24 is a waste of space. Almost the whole of South America has representatives. Who aren't members? Colombia, Peru, Guyana. It's why Britain doesn't bother to attend. And neither should the Falklands or Gibraltar. Both should inform the UN Secretary General that they are no longer colonies and reject the Committee as a waste of effort and that nothing it says will be taken notice of.

And as free-standing mini-states, Gib. (and TFI) has the right to vote in its own parliament :

    to become part of Spain,
to be a Protectorate of Britain,
to be a county of (eg) England (with UK agreement), or
to be a component part of any other state it wishes to be part of (USA?), or
    to simply exist as itself.

    Of course. And...

The West Falkland can become a argentine province and the East Falkland a independent principate. And Weddell Island, Beaver Island and New Island a British Overseas territory.

    As free-standing mini states.

Of course - if this is what they, on W Falkland, want - and if this is acceptible to the Argentinean government.
