    “undoubtedly a new international order is emerging . . . ”

    “we will have to see how interdependence works out, and not who dominates”.

    Divergent visions from different ends of the spectrum.

    The outcome is likely to be an amalgam of the two, with new dominances in economies/politics/military/etc, and massively greater strategic and tactical interdependencies.

    And so the world goes round and everything changes and (hopefully) remains the same.
