    I never understood what the real reason you have to be an independent territory, are a few people who are on islands with nothing to defend, you have no ideology of its own (you responding to the Queen of UK), you are not a religious group claiming a holy land, you only defend a space just because, and you are there ... Thanks to the colonial policy of UK exercised for hundreds of years.
    I respect all opinions kelpers, but you have to be conscious that in 10 years (or earlier) will face a reality that is going to be difficult to assimilate. You've got to think about buying a new life or find another hole in another part of the map.
    Meanwhile, Latin America is strongest in the world (especially in the ideology of brotherhood) and the European Union begins to fall to pieces ... Who will help you?

    If you ever need any evidence that mental illness is rife in Argentina then look here. How many Argies have delusions of grandure or some other warped sence of reality.

    If the FI were ripe for the picking then why do they not invade with their four patrol boats? If Argentina had a legal case then why do they not take their case for legal adjudication? These are two questions that they avoid all the time. Answering them makes them realize that they have no capacity to threaten the islands or a legal basis. Reality is clearly painful for them.

    rmalone - next time you open your trap try to make sure you know what you are talking about because what you have just said makes you look like a proper tit.

    Oil production in the FI will be conducted with a FPSO set up and all wells and manifolds etc will be shipped in, set up, ran and decommissioned without any need for resources from continental South America. They will all be subsurface and the FPSO tanker will simply cruise up, connect and once full go straight to the refinery for the oil to go to market. At the same time they can stick two fingers up to you as there is bugger all you can do about it.

    RKH have already presented the FPSO oil production strategy in Stanley. Try harder next time or simply know your limits.

    I'm afraid I can't see where Argentina invited the UK for arbitration “like 5 times”.

    I can only see 1, yes ONE case involving the UK and Argentina. In 1955. That was when the UK took Argentina to the ICJ to test the sovereignty of South Georgia, South Sandwich etc. Argentina rejected the jurisdiction of the ICJ. Why? Is it because you knew you had not case and would lose? I am 100% that is the reason. Yet you still claim SGSSI even though you have no basis for your claim.

    55- are you saying Arg 5 invites to arbitration were at OAS.UNASUR,C24? These organisations have NO legal power to arbitrate of anything!!
    Not only that the UK and the Islands are never even invited to the o0AS and UNASUR to explain our case!!
    Can you not get it - there is but ONE place that has the power to arbitrate and rule and that is called the IJC!
    Can you also not get it into your head that as Arg has publicly stated several times the only solution to any talks will be full sovereign control- and has their claim of full sovereign control over the Islands formally written into their constitution, and has made it clear on many occasions that the peolpe of the Islands have no rights of any say in their future at all - there can never be any talks dumbo!
    Talks and negotiations happen only when both sides want to solve a problem and enter into them with NO predetermined fixed one side only solution!!
    USA - please show me concrete evidence that USA supports you - and I mean outside meaningless places like the OAS - of course they give you a vote there at times - it helps shut Buenos Aires up a bit and USA and UK know it counts for nothing.
    Show me where USA has issued clear public statements BACKING(not merely suggesting talks as that is NOT the same as backing)- but BACKING for your claim?

    Exactly.Argentina was there first,and in order to get the proper tittles,you have to have a treaty.When a country lost territory to another,you sign a treaty.There is no cesion from Argentina,so you are squatters...
    Argentina invited you for arbitration,uk always ignore.No deal,no cesion.End result: You are squatters....
    Result: UN,OAS,Brasil,recognizes Argentine sovereignity!!
    Finish...Take Argentina to court if you have a case......
    So far you are loosing everywhere,rogers,imploring their ilegal take over of Argentinas island.....Tomorrow Argentina is stronger and kick you out from there.Everything perfectly legal....Fair enough?

    And we are the ones who have sovereignty, so if you want it you have to take us to court. We don't need to take you to court because we don't want anything from you.
    Losing are we? Is the Falkland Islands flag still flying proudly over the islands? Yes, good. Doesn't look like we've lost anything yet.

    “ ... Why uk is alway losing at the UN? ...”

    You must have an interesting interpretation of the word 'losing'! Every year the UK ignores the C-24. Every year the UK repeats much the same statement to the Fourth Committee. Every year since 1988 nothing happens!

    And the Falkland Island's remain British.

    If that's losing it'll do for us :-)

    And you still haven't offered any proof of your claim that Argentina asked the UK to go to international arbitration. Nor any reason why Argentina will not do so now that there is a permanent court available.

    And the UK cannot take Argentina to the ICJ. Because you haven't fully signed up. When you do, then we'll have the opportunity to take you there. Which is why I suspect that Argentina does not fully recognise the ICJ.

    Fair enough?

    Thanks to all our supporters who battle the Argentine lies, propaganda and lack of understanding of international bodies and how they work.

    But actually it is quite useful - they waste all this time and energy.....for nothing. They bark and bluster and quote resolutions in the OAS, the Rio Group, Iberio-Latam summits, and any number of other useless talking shops, which mean...............absolutely nothing. Keep going boys, the sound of your own b******t cannot drown out the fundamental legal and moral facts that the Falkland Islanders have the right to decide how our country is governed, and will continue to do so.

    The latest democractic test saw a 6th generation Falkland Islander elected on a strong mandate supporting strong internal self government and association with the UK. Tell that to the C24.

    @39R.G.R.Liars,
    l've been saying that same thing for months now. Patagonia belongs to Britain. We were there first, so the Argentines in Patagonia are there illegaly, they are squatters(that definitely includes you, Cher Think!).
    @29rmalone,
    get lost, idiot & don't make threats that you cannot carry out.

    @66 Sure why not !! Following the same criteria Admiral Bouchard attacked in 1818 Bahia de Monterrey (California). In conclusion , I am claiming Beverly Hills to Family's Over Seas Territories ..... lol!!

    @69 Let me explain Briton, Isolde (the beautiful lady that swims with the whales), stated on @66 that Patagonia belongs to you all (GB). Not because somebody does a pit stop and refuel the car can claim the Gas Station, right? Do you follow ? :-))))

    @70Artillero601,
    Dolphins, not whales.
    We were in Patagonia first, Artillero. l suppose we could share Patagonia with you but not the Falklands.
    Wouldn't you like to be a General in the Patagonian Army?
    We could even arrange to have Private Think in your Corps. OJ!
